Rajeshwari Dutta conducted her doctoral research on cold gas in galaxies at IUCAA from 2012 to 2017 under the supervision of Professor Raghunathan Srianand. After completing her Ph.D., she was awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship in the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Garching, Germany, from 2017 to 2019. She held a Post-doctoral Research Associateship at Durham University in the UK from 2019 to 2021 and a Post-doctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Milano-Bicocca in Italy from2021 to 2023 before joining IUCAA as an Assistant Professor. Her primary research interests are in the field of galaxy formation and evolution, and in particular, in the connection between gas and galaxies. Her work utilises multi-wavelength (UV to radio) spectroscopic observations to understand the role played bymulti-phase gas in galaxy evolution.
