It also exposed the pa r t i c i pant s t o the de t a i l s o f the forthcoming Aditya L1 mission, the observations from which would be impor t ant t o the so l a r-t e r res t r i a l community in the coming years. WorkshoponPythonProgramming inAstronomy, Astrophysics&Cosmology The Department of Applied Sciences of G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur, organised a two-day workshop on Python Programming in Astronomy, Astrophysics & Cosmology on 07 and 08 April 2023. The workshop was funded by the Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune, where forty participants from all over India, viz. thirty undergraduates and post-graduates, five faculty members and five PhD scholars participated. The keynote speakers were Professor S.N. Hasan, Dr. Priya Hasan (MANU University, Hyderabad) and Mr. D.K. Beniwal (Delhi University). The chief guest of the inaugural function was Dr. G.P. Singh, Head & Professor, Department of Mathematics, VNIT, Nagpur, where the organisers of the workshop were Professor Saibal Ray, Dr PraveenKumar Dhankar andProfessor Bhagwat Thakran. The workshop aimed to bring together a wide variety of people who use, develop or teach Python packages in the context of Astronomy. The workshop included presentations, tutorials, unconference sessions and sprints. In addition to building the community around astronomical uses of Python, the workshop aims to improve collaboration and interoperability between Python packages and share knowledge on Python packages and techniques. It also provided training and educational materials for users and developers of Python packages. The resource persons were well-established faculty members in renowned institutes and well-versed with teaching skills. This workshop was conceived with unique approaches to convey information more efficiently and enable the visualisation and applications of these research tools in Astronomy, Astrophysics andCosmology.
